Default Squeaking/Creaking and shock question

Hi All,

My 2017 Kingquad 750 has been squeaky the past several times I have taken it riding. This past weekend it seemed to get much worse. The squeaking is definitely coming from the rear. I gave it a clean (no hose, but used a sump pump to rinse it with water from the lake). After i cleaned it, the squeak was gone, however I am unsure if it was only gone because the water lubricated things enough to temporarily get rid of the squeak and if it will come back once the machine dries out. I was going to spray anything in the rear that looks like could be making the noise with some white lithium grease or is it better to use a grease gun with a needle on the end? Should I be doing something else to try to get rid of squeakiness?

I also noticed one of my shocks seems to be rubbing against something which has so far taken off the black coating. I am not sure if this can lead to further issues or if it is not something to worry about. Photos are attached.

Thanks for any help.

The shroud rubbing on the shock absorber is common on them, and wears through the shroud eventually. May have been that causing the squeak but is nothing to worry about. The whole rear suspension is on plastic bushes, which wear rapidly, and I regularly have to fit new spindles, bushes and oil seals. They don't have any greasers, and have seals to keep water out so, without dismantling, you can't get lubricant in. Anti-roll bar mounting bushes are un-lubricated plastic, and wear through the roll bar on heavily used machines, you could lube them. Check where they mount onto the frame for cracks, as most of the 450 to 750s I maintain, have broken the frame at that point.
