Desert 150cc ATV Quad
Cranks and Runs if I short solenoid.
Fuse is blown. but if I short the connection no dash lights come on or brakes lights.
Red toggle switch will kill the engine.
Key switch has no effect in any fashion.
Brake safety feature has no effect, if brake is not pressed quad will still crank and run off solenoid.

did you repair or replace ignition switch?
Brake safety is bypassed if you jump the solenoid
what fuse is blown?

 

This all started after I fixed/cleaned the ignition switch contacts.

I would think your switch has had it, you can check the circuits through the switch with a meter or the test lamp, if you know which wire goes to what, but I think a new switch will be needed.
