Default Help pls with taotao110 atv

Hello and thanks in advance for any tips/help.

A little background: im a professional mechanic with a decent amount of exp with small atvs.

I have searched and read all I could find, but nothing that helped me on this particular project. All tests performed w my power probe.

Taotao110 with unknown history. Dead in the water, nothing happens with key on. Fresh battery, fuse good. Found ign sw was bad (no continuity between any of the 4 wires ON or OFF. Ign sw disconnected - i have 4 wires coming from harness:
blk: batt voltage
red: (-)
wht/blk: (-)
green: no reading, but if i turn kill switch to OFF then this wire shows (-).

I see from wiring diagram that ON just connects (+) with 1 other wire to power everything. Ok so if i connect blk & red, my dash lights up showing shift indicator. Atv in neutral, start button does nothing. Press the brake, still button does nothing. No extra safety/tether that i can find.

Probing the 2-wire connector to the solenoid (ign “on”) i get a constant (-) to one wire, nothing on the other. When i press the start button, I get (-) to the previously dead wire. I know how solenoids work, so I know this isnt right. Using my power probe, if i apply (+) to the dead wire, it actuates solenoid and engine turns over. Cranks, but no start. Check for spark, none.

So i pull the plug to cdi to check what im getting.
cdi plug is a 6 wire plug w 5 wires in it (one blank hole). Looking at the harness plug from “cdi side”:
Top L: yel/blk (-)
Top center: no wire
top right: wht/blue (-)
bottom L: blk/red (no reading)
bottom center: blk/wht (no reading)
bottom right: green (-)

thats as far as Ive gotten, now im confused. Not sure why I get a (-) out of the start button, and thinking that with key “on” i should be getting (+) to one of the wires to the cdi...? Im kinda lost at this point, so any info would be greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance. -Mike

UPDATE:
I found the rear brake light switch to be defective, its wires were basically disintegrated inside the rubber. Once the brake switch was bypassed, i got power up to the start button and now the atv will turn over using the handlebar push button. Also verified the kill switch operation while in there, its working properly. Kill switch has a ground signal going to it, and when set to “run” it does not pass the ground on. When set to “kill”, sends ground signal to cdi.

Im still not getting spark to the plug. When checking the wires at the coil (with wires disconnected from coil), im getting (-) to green wire and nothing to the black/wht wire. On cranking the ground signal to green wire is steady, and still nothing to the other wire. I think i should be getting a pulsing (+) to the blk/wht while cranking? To fire the coil?

Not sure where to go from here, any input?
Thanks for any ideas...

Chinese don't always use Honda wiring colours but usually black/white is kill wire, it is the black/yellow that goes from CDI to coil. At CDI black/red will be exciter/power from alternator, and between it and earth will produce AC voltage when engine is turning. Blue/white is pulse from alternator, which signals when to fire once a rev, also gives a small AC voltage between it and earth when engine is turning. Green is earth.
