Default suzuki problem !!!!!!!

my 230 quadsport burns alot of oil can any body know why please help?/??????[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

Burns oil, so this means you see a bluish gas leaving the tailpipe? Do you have a compression gage or a leak down gage.
Need more details from you!!!

I have two of these, an '85 and an '87. The valve train is pretty good, and unless you are running it extremely lean (to where it will almost not run) the valves won't burn, The guides are also pretty tough. However, they need clean oil, the cylinders and the rings can go bad quickly and get sloppy. Going one more size over on the piston and rings, with a bore job will do wonders. You are looking at about $125 for the machine work and the parts. While you have the jug and the piston off, take a lok at the head and valve train. With the piston and cylinder off, you can also check for play in the connecting rod bearing.
