HI GUY's:
I was reading on another forum and stumbled on a french forum. There is talk about 135Kph top speeds!!!!! Thats 84mph for you Americans!!!! I have no idea what the thread says but it's apparently about a C.D.I from Quebec. Lets get a translator to see whats on the go! This is the address guys...someone help. www.quadnet-ca.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8636

Ps: I looked through the thread and saw $350 Can. Thats alot less than $300 US!

Wouldent the cdi make the 650 unsafe in off crambra places? it seems like if you taped the gas on a steep hill over you would go? or is it going to be smoth power so you can take off in bad situations?

kawirob,

Here's a quick translation. Cdi will be availiable in April or May and is made in Three Rivers, Quebec. They are currently testing it to make sure that everything is ok. Expect price around 350 can. and top speeds around 135kph(that's pretty optomistic don't you think). Also rev limit changed to 7500rpm. They list a contact as Perusse at 1-866-376-7436. The last post was on March 21th so the thread is pretty old and alot has probably changed since then. Also there was some talk of EPI springs and tires but I don't think that's what your interested in. Hope this helps.

That top speed sounds unrealistic and why would they lower the RPM limit from stock?? Sounds fishy.

HI GUY'S:
Bad news...at least as far as the company I contacted in Quebec. They are not working on a C.D.I...but they will have the top end module to use in conjunction with the stock one, as does the low end module. I spoke to a guy and he said that 15kph (10mph) is what it will add to the P650. That sounds right. This is not the same company that is working on a C.D.I... if there is one...there may be another player in the mix,who knows ? I forget the name of the company but they are a Kawi dealer...the phone # is above in Scotia650's post. They offer only low end modules at this time. The regular price is $180.00 Can. and a dealer cost would be $95.00 Can. To actually make it yourself would cost probably $10.00 if you had the plans. I have a schematic that I believe is the weapon of choice ,but it's like a foreign language if you are not an electronics expert. I sent my buddy (A big time expert) the schematic and he is currently looking it over. He glanced at it ( the schematic) and said he could build it in less than 10min. and he has all the parts at his work. There is no way of knowing though if this is the real deal or not ( these parts have maybe a thousand different applications). I do not want to rip my module apart as I paid $180.00 Can for it. It is sealed up with resin for waterproofing, and would probably be destroyed even if I could get it apart. We may build one based on the schematic we have, and try it anyway. I'll keep you all posted.

Kawirob,

I would like the schematic. I could build one, it sounds simple enough.
I have built many projects in the past. Electronics is my background. I
bet I have the parts at home. Can you scan it and send it to me?

Thanks,
TriumphDude
