I own the AC300 and the Xplorer250 both 4 wheel drives And just to let ya know I've done alot of riding here on my AC and whether or not putting 27"tires on the 300 would be ok I'd have to say if you do any type of open area riding that allow s you to use all of your gears then I'd say you wont be happy with 27"tires,remember the Ac300 is actualy only a AC280 and unless your riding is done on tight wooded trails using 1 thru 3rd anyhting faster would only dissapoint with all that weight. The ac300 has enough power to do most of my wishes only in low though high I'm pretty sure is useless unless running down hill.I cant remember the last time I've swithed out of low and actualy acomplished anything using high.I think if your plans are to run anything over 26'youd be better going 400 and bigger remember the AC300 and suzuki king quad are the same and still after all the years no one yet offers aftermarket performance accesories so until then wait or put up with low clearance.Hope this helps have fun either way.

Thnks for the information everybody..... I'm gonna go look at the A/C line-up... but it looks as though I WON'T be buying...
I was/still am hoping to find a machine that I caan stuff 27" tires under.. be able to turn all four of them... I'd like IRS, but don't want the overweight Sportsman.... and I REALLY wanted to stay away from the liquid cooling all together...
If I can keep from running a Liquid engine.. I keep cost down initially, and in the long run with water pumps, overheating from plugged radiators, electric fans, thermostats, etc....
Thanks again for everybodys input and honesty on this... MM..
