Default Wide Tires Float or Dig Which is better for Quads?

in swampy mud like in the deep south, skinny front and fat back is okay. in sandy clay (cement) or gumbo (in the delta) tall and skinny on all four rule. seen any ag tires before. rice levee tires are usually 31" tall and 5 or 6" wide. i feel the outlaws and gators are the best tire for swamps. they float well and do not dig for a bottom thats usually not there (see pics). edls will dig and are unbeatable in the sandy clay found in the mid west and it takes a strong bike to turn them over in a bind, what are they 2 1/2" lugs? i think mudlites are a great all around tire. i have seen them in a lot of terrain and they performed well. all this tire talk is cool but in retrospect, i think i would have spent more time and money locking the front end up. a front diff lock will hide tire deficencies pretty well.

WELL since we probably fish in the same lakes i,ll give you an idea of what I did on my 500 ac I HAD PUT ON 28X12.5X12 OUTLAWS TIRES TIS THINGS HAVE SO MUCH GRIP IT,S CRAZY I,VE NEVER GOTTEN STUCK IN SNOW YET WITH THESE PUPPIES AND I,VE TRIED by the way same size tires all around when going threw the mud you only need two back tires because the front ones are always up in the air above the goop KNOW on my new 650 LE i,ll be installing the same tires on it but I will look for a set of 28x10.5x12 for the front because it seemed pretty hard on the front end joints or maybe I was to hard on it whatever I suggest the new radial outlaws big set in the back and about 9 to 10 inch in the front now depending on the size of your machine you might want to stay with stock hieght tires like putting on 28x12.5 x12 outlaws on a 350 rancher would lok good if look liked hondas but you wouldn,t have the power to turn the wheels in deep mud also put on a lift kit i,ll make a big differenc HAVE FUN
