CV Boot broke open..not under warrantee?????
Hey have you ever guys cracked a cv boot and taken it in to be told the dealer wont warrantee it because it is "normal wear and tear"? My bike is two months old and the CV boot is leaking and the dealer told me I have to pay for it??? What kind of garbage is that?

That was the same bull I got from my dealer. I had to pay $32.00 USD for them and I chanced it myself. It is not hard. You better keep a couple of them on you cause I have had 3 out of 8 rip on me already. There are a couple of forums on this subject. I purchased the AC rear boot protectors and I guess they help but I still ripped one even with them on. I am currently looking to get better ones but there is not much out there.
Good luck!

if you think about it...it is normal wear and tear. when you go and get your oil changed do they do it under warrenty....no because you knew that it was going to be neede to be done sooner or later...the boots wont last forever and that is obviouse...I have torn a boot and have punctered the break line....they probably would have not coverd it under warrenty because it was from a stick...if for say the suspension blew for some odd reason...except for like jumping...say a hard bump at moderate speed I am sure they would replace it because the suspension SHOULD be more durable then that...just my .02
