Default AC wheel bearings

Just to give you guys an idea of the saving going to a bearing shop read about how much I saved. I called my dealer and was told the bearings were 30.00 (canadian) each (I was looking to get 4). After I picked myself off the floor I went to a bearing shop. I was able to get all 4 bearing for the front for 21.00 bucks. It worked out to something like 4 something plus tax each. And get this they are sealed on both sides which really should help. The guy at the bearing shop said that he hasn't seen a bearing for an atv that they didn't have yet.

Man are we ever getting taken to the cleaners at the dealer.

i dont know. I wash mine after every ride and i still go through them like a top fuel dragster drinking methonol! The only problem is that it is expensive to change out the bearings every 100 or so miles! I think i got some old bearings that I can get the # off of. Thanks everyone for the advice!

The years of our 400i and 500i are 2002 but the funny thing is my dad has 600 miles on his and we have only replaced 1 bearing.

We have two 2003 400i manual Artic Cats with 1500 miles on each. We have not had any problems with bearings. One cat has a loose baffle in the muffler and thats it.

All the bearings that don't have zurrik fittings are "Sealed for Life". That's not just me talking, call a reputable bearing supplier. They'll tell you the same. If you are like others and don't wash the debris from the boots, seals and electrical appuratus after done riding, you're asking for trouble. Sometimes, like when out on weekend rides, we can't wash them but you should do it as soon as possible. The sand, rocks, etc. will damage seals, brake pads, you name it! A friend owns a Yami Grizz, '02. It has over 2800 miles on it, as he bought it new. It needed $1600 in replacement parts. I have 1800 miles on my AC 500i, '02. No bearing replacements yet and I do water & mud when ever I get the chance. I also wash my quad, thoroughly, when I get home. I do have other problems with water getting in electrical connectors but that's another story.

My old 2 wheel drive truck has no zurrik on the front spindles. So all I need to do is wash it and I won't have problems with my bearings?
