Cat 650 Owners, Thinking of buying one...please help
Hi, I've been looking at the Grizzly and Polaris 700 for some time now.... but recently I've been looking at the AC 650 and its very impressive. Can any of you owners tell me about the 4 wheel drive system? Is it like the Grizzly (push a button, flip a lever and push a button)? Does it have limited slip and a locker? Do you have to be fully stopped to engage the 4WD? Also, does it feel "top heavy" like they say the Grizzly does? Finally do you have 4WD in reverse, and if you do, does it have an overide button? Thanks to all who reply.

It has shift on the fly 4wd that you engage/disengage with your right thumb, on the fly. I'm not sure if it has a limited slip or not, but it certainly has a locker that works very well. It is engaged by flipping a simple lever over to the left. It feels very stable due to its wide track, but it has the best ground clearance on the market, bar none. 4wd works in reverse and it has an override button. It is not like a Polaris where you have to push the override button to engage 4wd in reverse. If in 4wd, it will be there in reverse with or without the button pushed. It also has fantastic engine braking and is easy on the bones on a long, rugged ride. Splash protection is excellent, too.
