Default Artic Cat Snow plow

I was offered a deal (?) by my local dealer of a 50in Artic cat angled blade with all mounting plus the top rubber piece and 1 side guard for 380 Otd Does anyone have this blade and is this a fair price?
I am also wondering if the composite blade material holds up well. I have an 03 500 auto that needs to be working to offset riding costs LOL I have a warn winch to use for lifting the blade and would like some info on how the units hold up and ease of use. Thanks

I got a 60 inch plow for my TRV. You want a plow that when angled is wider than the outside of the front tires. The A/C plow is awesome, it connects quickly and easily. I plowed the lane at the Sportmens club today for 2 hours and it did great. That price is in the ballpark. Plowing is a blast!

Thanks for your reply, I will probably go pick it up tomorrow night after work. I can see where the 60in would help not driving over the snow when angled but, I don't really have a place to park the quad with that wide of a blade and a 50in should just fit on my small trailer (I hope). I told the misses that if I did make the purchase that would just about guarranty that no more snow will fall this yr !!

Plow works great , I think you will want to upgrade to the 60inch after you use the smaller one a few times , but you are still getting a great plow!

I have the 60" plow works great and just love doing it. The only problem you may encounter with the plow unit is, when you've plowed for a bit and go to take the plow off, ice can build up on the undercarriage brackets, not a big deal but still a pain in a$$.

I just love the 60" plow, everyone who has one will say the same thing. My dad has the same plow and clears a huge driveway with it. Works great. Only down side for him is that his winch is only the Warn 1500 and it doesn't want to hold the plow up in the highest setting. Otherwise it's great. I have never used the 50", but take another look at the 60" and see if you can make it fit on your trailor!

I also would recommend the 60". I have a 54" V-plow and while I like the features, it simply is not big enough for me or my machine. I'm actually considering something even bigger like a 72". After the vast amounts of snow we received this year, the bigger the better!

If you want my opinion the Artic Plow is the best out there. The cycle country is a piece of @#$^. The Warn and Moose are good plows, but i have yet to see any of them beat my Cat. I have a 60" with the rubber top part and the end pieces. I am subcontracted to plow with my set up for some of the GM plants in Lansing, MI. The only thing I have done is welded a bar between the mounting brackets so the brackets wouldn't flex in. This would happen once in a while and the plow would fall off. Now that I have that bar there I havn't had any Problems. The only other thing is the tinker toy feet they put on the plow. Good for nothing. Fabricated some of my own that I hard face about every 10 hrs of work. The 60" is the way to go. Also use it with the winch, screw that manual stuff. Also might want to look into hand warmers, well worth the $. Have fun, I know I do.
