Peacemkaer,
You have a new CDI and your bike went into limp mode? Is it a Dynatec CDI? Dyna has eliminated the circuitry for the limp mode and the reverse limiter in there CDI so I dont see how this is possible unless it is someone elses or stock. If it is a stock unit you cannot reset the limp mode if the belt switch has been tripped. You need to remove the cover and reset the switch first. I believe that the AC service manual states that the belt drive cover needs to be replaced if the belt switch is tripped but I cant imagine that this is true.

Rich.

Noooooo...... I just put a new primary spring in mine this morning so I had a close look at things. The switch can me tripped physically by a loose belt or by a cord hanging off a belt. The system is good because it forces the owner to physically look at the belt when re-setting the switch. Of course, as we all know, the system is flawed as it trips for no apparent reason all the time. But no, the cover doesn't have to be replaced, just opened up.

Sorry guys. I am not used to capital letters or punctuations. I usually got like 5 things going on, on this internet at the same time and I was always really bad at grammer as you can probably see. Well i must be going now I will make sure to try to speak in a more grammical fashion from now on to make yall happy. TTYL

Don't have a Cat,but can you guys just unplug the belt sensor or short it out to bypass it ? Seems like a headache until they fix the problem.

Ok everyone trying to use capital letters now and punctuations marks lol. Anyways I have been contemplating putting a dual exhaust system on my ATV I am willing to bet there isn't but a handful of ppl who have something like that and you said there is no rejeting or nothing so that would be great. About that limp mode apparently if you put in the dynatek CDI it will cure it got one on the way not here yet just curious how long it takes them to send it i never did get a confirm e-mail about anything hopefully it will be here soon can't wait.LOL i know you guys were just yanking my chain but it is easier to type not usuing all that punctuation and stuff but it is harder to read but goot luck to yall.
