Default HELP !!!! 04 AC BELT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON

Will I need a Dynatek CDI for my 2005 650? Is there a website explaining this mod in detail?

Thanks in advance

No,you won't need one,you may want one though. If you are worried about gimp mode, the '05s are not supposed to have that problem. If you want some more grunt then it will give you that,a module is cheaper and very fun.

Default HELP !!!! 04 AC BELT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON

What causes this limp mode, I have an 02 p650 its never been in limp mode now over 2 years old and close to 1500 miles and I have 2 twin peaks 700's that have never been in limp mode but I have had the CDI's on 1 of them since new and the old P650 has one now also. I am just curious It sound like this is happening to alot of cats. I have the 05 V2 cat at the top of my list for a new quad to try in 05 How did they fix this.

It looks like they are using the complete KAWI setup all the way through including the exhaust. wouldn't the Prarrie aftermarket systems fit or are the pipe bends deferent. I was planning to put the same procircut system I am running on both STP700 and soon to be on the old P650 on the The V2 if thats what I end up going with.

The cat has a different intake, and I think the exhaust is different too as there are only one or two aftermarket pipes so far.

No, I don't think that's the case, but you shouldn't be telling people what they should have bought either. You're entitled to your opinion, but it's a hollow one without having owned the quad you're making judgements on. There's plenty of faults on the Honda forum, why don't you make comments regarding the problems they're having? I see you ride a Honda, but spend time perusing the AC forum. I guess your Honda has been perfect, as is all the other Honda's out there, so you need another forum of entertainment. Go look at other Honda forums, you'll see they're having problems with the oil pumps in the trannies, and the electronic controls that move the swash plate in there. Swash plate stays in the vertical position, you go no place as there's no pump output pressure to drive the wheels. So your semi-manual Honda isn't as perfect as you think. AC started building bikes in '96, and if you look at the record to date, you'll be surprised at what you find.

Default HELP !!!! 04 AC BELT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON

my first chioce was arctic cat.
i had an 03 500 manual arctic cat and i put 2600 plus miles on it.
i traded it in on my honda 5 months ago and i've never bin happier.
when i started to talk about the problems i had with the 500 and what could happen if you put to big of tires on it.
i was told to go back to the honda forum.
i just made that comment to stir up a little ****.
there all good quads some are just a bit better then others.
P.S. i have 1800 kilometers on my honda thats 1100 miles and not one thing has gone wrong with it yet.
by the time i had that many miles on the cat it broken down 3 times already.

Yeah I guess, my 400 has 4115 miles on it, and the only thing I've changed is one set of brake pads, oil, filters, and a headlight bulb, and a plug. I run 27" Bearclaws all the way around. I seen an '02 Ruby last week that was on it's second tranny, had no brakes and had more electrical glitches than the space shuttle. Point is, we all have our stories about bikes that were giving us problems. Big tires will break ANY bike with the right conditions, Cats aren't alone here. I'm glad you're happy with your Honda, but I'm just as happy with my CAt, and I will be buying another one as soon as the H1 comes out.
