I was wondering if anyone else had that little smell on their 650 from the belt, or am I doing something wrong. I have the belt adjusted a little on the tight side, if it idles a little bit in gear( I know its bad) the belt squeals lightly. While I am riding on any slow/technical stuff or pulling you can smell a strange rubbery smell, belt I assume?!? Oh, I am scared to use high range, It is always in Low.

i used to have that lil smell to sometimes but after i put the clutch kit in i don't have that smell anymore but they said if i have mine set at the right tightness that it would squeel a lil in gear and mine doesn't do that but it is really tight anyways but if it was slipping you should be able to feel it and notice after a while a drop in horsepower

 

My belt stinks....dealer can't seem to adjust properly.
