Belt face plate
FYI:
When I was recently out down a rocky trail I noticed my belt slipping everytime I came up against a rock.
From a stop it wouldn't take off until it rev'ed up a little. The belt case was getting hot, making noises, and there was some bad rubber smell.
Got home, found that running up and down the driveway from a cold stop that there was a little bit of a slip sometimes. Took the belt cover off. Didn't see anything right away that was causeing the problem. Removed the nut holding the outer belt face plate on the front shaft. Removed the belt, didn't see anything. Removed the nut holding the rear drive pulley, this nut seemed a little loose. Thought it may have been the problem. After everything was removed I noticed the back plate on the front shaft, that was supposed to be fixed had no teeth left on it. The shaft was fine, but the plate was just spinning on the shaft. This must have been like this for some time as I did notice a liilte slip tkaing off some times.
Has anyone else had this trouble? If you feel a little slip when takeing off you may want to check this out!
