Default "Belt tensioner"?

Ive have a 04 650 bought it new last year, love the machine. Just wondering if there is an ongoing problem with the belt tensioners, "servo"?? not sure of the proper name. I had one replaced at 100 miles and now probs again at 600. Sounds like a bearing squealling. My buddy also had one go at just over a 100.Hopefully I just got the bad one and dont have to go through this over and over.
Any replies would be much appreciated, Thanks. Yes, those 2004 650's had some belt issues. Check this out on some tips for your belt, and the rest of your quad. When you get it set properly it will last you forever. Good luck.

Well, if its not under warrentee and you dont feel like paying the dough to get another one, do as so many do and just take the actuator fork out and not worry about it. This takes the actuator power away from the clutch. Try it and see your self. Such and easy mod.

I will probably do this when the warrantee is up, however does this require special shimming as far as belt slipping goes?
