I have 2500 miles on my 05 650 vee twin (LOL), I ride on some of the rockiest and steepest terrain in the western US and I have had ZERO problems with mne, I've never even had the belt cover off. I have ridden the Piaute Trail twice and also ridden in western Wyoming several times in the last 2 summers and I have never had any problems with stability. I have had my V-2 up to 69 MPH on a flat run with the stock tires so I don't understand what you mean by slow. The Arctic Cats do have the most ground clearance on the market so they may feel top heavy and tippy but if you know how to ride, you will have no problems. The wider stance that Cat has helps with stability. Just because you don't like Cats does not mean you have to come over to the Cat forums and bash on them. There are several things I don't like about the Ski-Doo quads like the worthless skid plates, cheesy frames and not to mention they are just plain UGLY. But you don't see me over on the Can-AM forum bashing them.

You must have the best 2V that was ever made because most of them work hard to go 60mph at 6000ft.That clutch most have been the one boss was going to take home because the three I ride with have always got a problem with the clutch.

My V2 does 70 on a regular basis. I think you are confuse and mixed up with the H1. The H1 is slower, but has a ton af low end power

I was at 4,500' on about a 2% down hill grade and I did not buy a utility quad for speed. Even 50-60 mph on a Utility Quad is a dangerous speeds. I bought the Cat because it is the best all-around heavy duty quad on the market, towing, rack capacity (with the best attachments on the market), ground clearance, suspension travel, blah, blah, blah, Now I'm arguing with another Cat Basher.
Bottom line, you like Ski Doo and that's what you bought and I like Kitty Kats so thats what I bought, so go away.

I have owned 2 Outty 800's, and I have ridden a few Cats. And I have to say the Cats are pretty nice machines. My next machine is going to be a 700 le. I realy like the capabilities of the Cat in the rocks, the Outty kinda sucks in the rocks sits low, hard steering, clutch is not smooth at low speeds. The Cat 700 has great clearance, VERY smooth clutch at low speeds, and very easy steering. But I dont think the Outty is a bad machine I just dont think its as good as a Cat for the ruff stuff, on fire roads the Outty ripps

That's why there are different machines with different capabilities. I think we're starting to get that now?

I use my machines as if they were pack mules. I have been on the Rubicon and Sierra Trek countless times and if you dont have racks to carry tools, food, water, clothes, or whatever, you might as well not even go!
