The Arctic Cat will have more room, more ground clearance, and in my opinion a better suspension. The Can-am will probably be faster, and more nimble because it is smaller. I don't know about the Can-am, but the Arctic Cat you can take off the second seat and put a rack there, or a dump box in a matter of seconds. Also it has a lot more attachments that can go back there. Cat is cheaper too. Other things to think about are the cost, and what dealer is better. Most important, make sure you test drive and like what you buy. You will be the one using it, not other people on an ATV forum. Good luck!

here is my .02
I was able to ride both. Ride comfort=TRV Position ATV to handle bars=TRV Ground clearance=TRV Power=Can AM Accesories= TRV +++ stability=TRV my wife making the decision=TRV so we wound up buying a 500TRV as she thought the 650 was to much power. She now is the one at night saying come on lets go for a ride.

The Can-Am has tons more power, more comfortable passenger seat ( which also pops off in a second and can be replaced with a box or a weatherproof container) and the rear rack stays on all of the time. All Outlanders are EFI and have a FAR better rear suspension - very simple design and it does'nt allow as much body roll as the AC and the ground clearance is about the same.

The XT package is also worth every penny (upgraded wheels and tires, 2500lb winch, bumpers front and back, hand guards and a remote for the winch)

The TRV is better than the POPO as a two up but still lacks when compared to a BRP

Go Cat Go

I saw with my own eyes a new 700 being used a demolition ball suspended from a crane. After totally destroying a building the Cat was drop from several stories. The Cat was basically unscathed and driven off the site. It’s hard to understand how you could consider any other machine.

again the first reply said everything ,so i just want to give a personal report! my two trvs are the best atvs i have owend yes the bomb will go faster but if you use it for haulin a load the bomb will never stack up to the trv! if you look at the rear design of the bomb there is NOTHING to protect the rear axles from damage nothing under the ride to protect you going over logs and rocks, i have NEVER lacked for speed or power and mine are the 500's and the clearance is better on the trv by 2 inches without a rider and better by alot with a second rider the bomb has a VERY nice ride and is alot sporter it is shorter and narrower then the trv thus not as stable on a hill climb. so i guess you need to ask yourself what am i doing with my atv rough trails, steep climbs, rocks, and work=trv speed and play=bomb
