Belt Warning
#1
After riding in the snow and sleet for about an hour, I put my '06 AC 400 up and was going to restart it when the "Belt" warning came on. I looked it up in the manual and it said that it indicated excessive wear or damage to the belt. I only have 210 miles on my atv. Could this be a false alarm? Thanks!

The auto tranny has vent tubes on the from and rear of the belt housing. They come up as high as your air intake.
you may have sucked some powder in through the vent as I believe there is air flow in through the vents for cooling purposes onthe belt. Cover the vent tube with a nylon stocking and put a zip tie around it to keep it from falling off.
Also remove and check the belt housing drain periodically during the winter if you ride a lot in the powdery snow.
But, if its under wannanty, take it to the deale rand have it checked to be safe if its not too much of a hassle.
