Dirtwheels has an article in the Feb. 2001 issue about some pulls in New York. AC500 took 1st in the 451cc- 499cc class. They took 3rd to a pair of SP500's in the 500-600cc class, and took 2nd to the Suzuki 500 in what seemed like some kind of open class. The suzuki was fitted only with a pipe and some blackwaters. Not a whole lot of mods, but it still made a full pull to win.

AC did pretty damn good I think.

my dealer showed me a home video of an ac 500 4x4 auto pulling a polaris magnum 500 4x4 backwards while the polaris was spinning and pissing. the ac was just chugging right along. when the ac slacked of the throttle the polaris could barely drag it. gotta love that low end torque.

TexasCat,
no offense intended, however, you can see the same thing at a Polaris dealership. The only differance is it happens to be the AC that is being dragged.I've also seen videos at the Polaris dealerships of Grizz's being out pulled by the Pols.I certainly dont beleive EVERYTHING these dealers throw at us!

ok, i retract that statement, the video was so convincing. truthfully, i don't care if my ac is not the strongest or the fastest because i purchased it to transport me in places my F350 super duty V10 cannot go. if i want something pulled i use it or a tractor. plus it will be a long time until i come up there to place second--its too damn cold up there. thanks for pointing that out, you saved me from being portrayed as an idiot.

Hey Texascat : what can you tell me about Kawasaki holding a event of some kind in Texas in January. All I know is they contacted me about using my sled. Anyone know anything about it?

TEXASCAT,
I also feel that INDEPENDANT tests from a outside,non-interest source on these types of
issues would hold ALOT more merit.I really think that today, most every 4wd ATV you buy is going to do you a good job in its own enviroment.I really dont care if Mr Smiths 4wd ATV can out pull me by 10ft either,I buy my ATVs because thats what ''I'' like!

Andy,
Did the artice say when and where in NY the pull is conducted? I'd love to take my quadrunner and enter it in the pull. I think I could keep up with just about anyone in low range.
