Default 2005 650 Brake lights

For some reason my brake light stays on and will not go off. If anybody has any ideas it would be great.

It's likely that your foot brake is not returning fully to the disengaged position, mine does it too. I haven't fixed it yet, dunno if it needs a fresh little bend or a different spring or what.

Yeah, I had the same problem. It is the return spring they put on the foot brake. It is not strong enough to pull the pedal/lever back up to the brake light switch. I went to an auto parts store and bought a dual spring carburetor return spring. It is a spring with in another spring. It has good pull. I took the cotter pin out of the pin that attaches the brake actuator to the connecting rod of the brake pedal. I then put the one spring end through the hole and the other spring end around the connecting rod. I then drilled a small hole on the bracket that is welded to the frame that supports the running board/foot peg.

After I did this mod it has since not happened again.
