Help Needed Today!!! Please help!!!

Hi all. I have an 06 400. I bought the mirror by Arctic Cat that is supposed to be EASY to install, blah blah blah. I bought one for my old man who has the same wheeler as well. However, he could not get his to work. Has any one used this mirror and could give me some pointers on how to install? The instructions on the back of the container are vauge a the way my old man did it, it just doesn't look like it's going to work. I know this is kind of a trivial thing, but we're trail riding tomorrow and would really like to get it on today. Thanks everyone!

I recently bought the AC mirror for my 07 AC 400 and had no problems. You also need to buy the little top bracket to change out on the handle bar that has the threaded hole to mount the mirror in.

The one I had for a while (which was not AC) had a rubber plug like thing that slipped into the end of the handle bar. When you turned a screw it expanded the rubber plug to hold the mirror in place. It is handy and nice to see behind you when riding in groups so you do not get rear ended but I personally think it is a branch magnet.

The problem my old man had (same quad as mine) is that the rubber plug simply will not fit into the end of the handle bar! He has all of the tension off of it, so it is not expanded either. I only wanted it for riding flat trails so people don't sneak up on me as I wanted to take it off for timber/technical riding. As for the post above yours, I don't know what bracket is being referred to. I have the one that fits into the end of the handlebar, not the one that fastens around the handlebar. Thanks for chiming in guys!
