Have you checked into using one of those portable batteries that are used to jump start cars. We have one its about 750amps I believe. Its smaller and easier to carry round then a regular battery. it has a cigarrete lighter out put built in. To charge it all you do is plug a wire into you wall outlet, and the other end goes to the cigarrete outlet. It seems to hold it charge a long time. I used for about a month to power my car amp to my subs. I was o lazy to run the power cable to the front of the car. SO I used it to power the amp and it would last a couple of days before I had to charge it. I think you can get them from sams club for like $50. take a look once its nice and flatter then a normal battery, and it can also be mounted in any position.

Grizzlyrules,

My 98 Grizzly is in the shop and has been since before Thanksgiving. In the interum my dealer gave me a brand spanking new 2001 AC 500 manual (in hopes of selling me up) until he gets around to fixing the Grizzly (which appears to be never). I guess I can't complain, he takes the Grizzly (that won't start) and gives me a new AC 500. I am sure he is hoping that I tell him I want to trade up to the AC, but he wants about $2k on top of the trade.

My question is, how are you measuring the heat output from your old Grizzly and the new AC. My 98 Grizzly nor the new AC 500 have a temp gauge. As you already pointed out the Grizzly was a thermal nightmare for summer work.

What in the world are you trapping in the summer? Are you a critter control person? Normal trapping season (for fur) is early November to late January up here (except coyote).

Thanks Allen L. Grooms

Well I'm not SURE what he traps, but I think it's some kinda bugs that mess up crops where he lives.

I DO know that he has a High Lifter Temp guage to keep track of his water temperature on his cat.

hey uh008 during the summer (well actually sometime in march) i start to check bug traps (boll weevils) they kill cotton. and i have to go around fields EVERY week and check traps. the traps are a bright green and is places on a bamboo stick. they are usually about 200-300 feet apart. ask BigCatDriver..he can explain it to u (he also checked bug traps) i have also mounted my 4 100 watt lights on to my AC. i have already posted and sub about that but here it is again.
