I have an 03 400 4x4. I noticed last night that both of my low beam headlights have quit. The highs still work and the instrument cluster lights up. I there any fuse that could blow to cause this? Any advice on where to start looking? I'm gonna check the bulbs, but it seems odd for both to go out at once. I don't have an owners manual so I figured I'dstart here.

 

Could be your switch!

 

You should have the same fuse for both low and high beams. Could be a bad switch or bad contacts at the switch. Don't rule out both low beam bulbs going out at the same time - I would expect that this is the most likely cause. As the bulbs are the easiest (and cheapest ) to check I'd stat there.

Checked em this morning before I rode. Now one lowbeam andone highbeam comes on. Sounds like a bad connection to me. Tanks for the advice. Any more would be appreciated too!

 

Do you ride in alot of water? If so take all your plugs loose and seal them w/ dielectric grease. That will seal out water and make a good connection! Also when you clean your switch, wd40 works really well for electrical cleaner..

 

Check for corrosion at the base of each light bulb.
