EZ-GO Golf Cart pulls an ATV!
#1
I have a 2004 AC TRV 500. 475 miles total since new. I've had it in the shop several times trying to locate a stalling problem. Normally it starts and runs great, but occasionally it will start fine but only run a couple of minutes and then stall. Once it stalls, it will not start for a couple of hours. Then it will start fine again. I've pulled the carb and cleaned it, everything seems great, until it decides to stall again. Fortunately I have a 1964 EZ-GO golf cart to pull it back into my garage. My wife is tired of pulling me back. Any help will be appreciated.

Try the Coil. I have seen the coil get a little warm and not work for a while. Just happened to one of our 90dvx's It ran fine and quit. Next day fired right up. I replaced the coil and it works great now.

Hey Arcticcatdad,
Since I am void of any ideas at this point, I will try the coil. The thing that bothers me the most is that it only seems to do this maybe 1 out of 20 starts, but then as I think about it, it is usually in the evening (cooler, damper maybe).
I am going to assume that judging from your nickname you are older than lots of the riders these days. If that's the case, then I could be considered an Arcticcatgrandad having been born in the 30's. But I love the Arctic Cat ATVs and Snowmobiles.
Thanks again for the idea....

Hey Coal Dirt,
You're right, the throttle will not respond at all. When I notice that it is starting to stall, I try to recover it with the trottle and this action does nothing but cause it to stall. Sounds like a great idea.
Thanks again.
