My choke is sticking on my 06 650 v2. I have taken the plungers out of the carbs and lengthened the spring, worked and sprayed them. Put it back together, and it is still sticking. I just bought the machine 3 nights ago. There is about half the choke lever of free play when I apply the choke. Aside from a new choke cable, what can I do? Thanks in advance.

 

you may have already broke the cable, common problem with v2s. but try this before buying new one, take cable back off and try to get some wd40 in the cable sheath. move the cable back and forth to spread oil around and reinstall. if that works you are all set, but plan on doing that rick at least once every year. if you end up buying a new one oil it before putting it on.
