Snow blade recomendation
#11
I have a 52" Moose plow with mid mount push tubes. When I first started using the plow it took several hours to plow my drive and barn lot( I have three outbuildings with a wide parking area between them, probably atleast 80' by 120',in addition to a 300' drive that is 35'wide )I have an 2004 AC 400i and I went with the smaller plow with the dealers recommendation. The problem was the snow would windrow off both sides of the plow requiring several passes to clean .I then added side shields and a rubber flap along the top of the plow, probably making my plow 60" plus about 8" of depth. This made a TREMENDOUS difference.I could move alot more snow each pass but would usually start spinning the tires towards the end off the pass( I have carlisle badland xtr radials which don't have very aggresive tread).I then found myself having to drive fast and ram the snow near the end of the pass. The plow still never would breakover because off spinning tires and I would sometimes get buried in the snow pile.Today I added V-bar chains and then plowed 8" of heavy slush that had fallen of the barn roof.I was able to push the snow a full pass without spinning the tires all the way up to the top of my existing piles and push until the plow brokeover.I think I finally have found the right combination after 3 years !!I hope my this helps.

I REALY LIKE HOW THE POLARIS HOOKED UP IN FRONT. IT WAS SO EASY AND NEVER HAD TO LAY DOWN TO HOOK IT UP.
BUT NOW I AHVE THE 2008 AC 500.
I LOVE THE PLOW FOR SURE...BUT HOOKING IT UP IS NOT TO BAD BUT GOTTA GET DOWN ON MY SIDE TO HOOK IT UP.
THATS THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT...I THINK IT JUST ME
AS FAR AS THE WINDSHIELD GOES I WISH IT WAS ALITTLE TALLER TO GET THAT COLD AIR OFF MY FACE
