Default Arctic Cat won't engage into gear. HELP!!

I've got a 06 Arctic cat 500 4x4 that i was riding and it went into neutral going up a hill. I rolled it on to a trailor and rolled it off and it will go into gear but won't go when i give it gas. Does anyone has any idea why?

How would you check. I've never really messed with an atv.

there should be a huge plastic cover on the right or left of your machine it will have some bolts holging it on theres like 12 or so it it take them out and when the cover comes off its covering your clutch that your belt drives on it its set up just like a snowmobile is if you have seen them before if the belt is there start the machine and see if the clutch is grabbing the belt or if the motor is turning the clutch im leaning toward you wipe the belt out did you hear any noise when you notice it and did it feel like somthing was slipping before it would not move

Cover is on the right hand side of the motor. It is aluminum on the 500's (Suzuki motor).
You will have to remove the right hand foot rest to get at all the bolts. The gasket is reusable.
Before you check the belt check the shift linkage and adjust according to the manual.

Download a repair manual from this website for free.

I thought manual transmissions just had gears. I didn't think that they had belts in the transmission

Your right. Manuals don't have a belt. Looked like it was an auto from the posts.
Check the repair manual from the above link and adjust your clutch. It's easy to do.
