99 Arctic Cat 500 vs. 2000 Arctic Cat 500 AUTO
#11
I looked at the new Arctic Cat 500 Automatic today. Looks like a good machine. I also looked at the Suzuki Quadmaster 500 automatic. What exactly is the difference in these two machines? Same engine, same tranny design, same rear suspension design, ergonomics are close, only things are the shift lever for the Suzuki is on the fuel tank and the Arctic Cat it is on the right side of the fuel tank. But I don't know how these two companies can do this, it's like a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra, which do you buy? Why are Arctic Cat and Suzuki always coming out with the same machines as the other?

Suzuki owns 33% of Arctic Cat. Suzuki makes all of Arctic Cat's motor, snowmobiles and watercraft included.
Just take a look at there specs and you will see the difference between the Cat and the Master. The Actic Cat is a good it bigger, has more suspension travel, has dics brakes front AND back, brakes are controled by a single lever, and is mostly made in the USA. The Master is smaller, has less suspension travel travel, one lever to control the front dics, and another lever, or foot brake if you like, to control the drum brake in the rear.
There are a few other differences but I can't think of they right now.
