clutch help!!!!!

Default clutch help!!!!!

ok i finaly took off the clutch and had no probs,,,, i thorughly cleaned evrything thing in there with brake cleaner and washed the belt in warm soppy water,,,,, i was too scared to take off the seconary because of the big spring that i felt behind it,,, is there anyone who can tell me a step by step to take it off? and what to look for,, ie. will the thing fall apart in my hands? or is it all ok and just remove the big bolt in the front,,, !!!!!

Default clutch help!!!!!

Just remove the the big nut...then you can remove the whole driven assembly. The spring is held in place by a retainer and will not fall off. If it does then you may have problems...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] But that's all you should have to do.

Things to look for?? Excessive wear on the faces, greasey film, dirt, etc...

When you install everything make sure to use some Loctite 271 on the threads.

I must have missed the original question. Why are you pulling the clutches off?

just to see the mechanics of it and to clean it just in case it needed it
