I don't think you understand, Cat doesn't have a choice in the matter. Suzuki controls where they get their engines from. They probably get them at a better price too. There is nothing wrong with the Suzuki engines, they are good solid reliable engines that has a great parts network. I've gotten Cat parts from a Suzuki dealer before. The weirdest thing about it though is the Suzuki parts are more expensive. Most Cat parts come in a Suzuki box. This is strictly engine and other parts sourced from Suzuki.

I've been riding an Eiger and a 2000 500man. The Eiger is a sportier machine, but bullet proof remains to be seen... for both Quads. Haven't pulled stumps with Eiger yet. Conversely I'm still not satisfied with A/C carburation or weight.

Thats just the dealer talking
I have a 10 day old 500i 03 model
Maybe its because it isnt broke in yet but it never hit the 60 mark
I have 22 miles on it with zillas now and it will hit around the 52-55 mark.it does take a long streth to do it.
It does how ever feel like you will be hitting 80 within 3 gears when you first start out.
The low end torque is amazing
