Since we are on the subject of new trikes, what do you guys think about this? I have a 2000 banshee that is pretty trick but I will never have the cash to make it the fastest so i am thinking of short cutting it with a Suzuki GSXR 750 engine. I have the complete motorcycle and I never ride it so I am going to do the swap sometime this winter. This will leave me with a great banshee engine waiting for a good home. I want to get a trike for the donor. I alreay have an 85 R and I would never destroy it so I will need to get a frame. Do you guys think i should get a tri-Z chassis and stay yamaha or should I get a ATC 250R chassis and make a half breed. Whatever I do I am going to get the local vinyle company to make me some vinyle stickers that say Tri-Z 454 Twin. I have a 4mm stroker crank that bumped it up 50cc along with my vito's 404 big bore kit and it hauls on a quad that is in excess of 400lbs. I can't imagine what it will do on a trike. I guess an extended swingarm will be on order also.

 

ok fellows this is what happend in 86 a war started between the cpsc and the manufacturos. and 87 there were not many trikes made the consent decree was signed in 88 and exspired in 98. there was small amouts of trikes put out in 88 there were a couple big reds ive seen. now not only did the consent decree bann 3wheelers {from being manufacturd but it also put alot of regulations on quads and i think thats why they stopped the trx 250r. now the companys can make them if they choose and god i hope they do i believe at some ponit if the sale of quads go down or the trike riders speak up and there r many of us. i think they will one day make them again some were donw the road. check out 3wheelerworld.com for more info i am a member there as well they have a chat room and forum there is also 3wheeler.org both r nice 3ww.com is the best tho. hope i have helped
