My boys' ATC70 is slipping in gear - and sometimes jumps out of gear.

It is getting worse.

Is it that big of a job to crack the sucker open and check for the problem?

What do you think the problem may be?

Shift forks perhaps?

Special tools required (I know I need a special puller for the alternator)?

I've rebuilt a few car motors (chevys mostly) - this motorcycle thign is a bit new.

I did learn that adjusting the point on the little guy makes a whole heck of a lot of difference!
