Honda 250 sx Rear end problem. Help..
Thanks to the guys that reponded last time. This Friday i am going to attempt to figure out what is wrong. I just got the bike and it rides just fine however there is a noise in the rear ? I have been told maybe rear berrings ? I am going to attepmt to take it apart. Is it HARD ? Or is it worth taking it somewhere ? Need any special tools...I am used to working on my 68 Mustang not a bike..lol...Any ideas or help would be great..

It is not real "easy" to do.....but on the other hand it IS NOT worth taking to a shop! They will kill you with the labor. Clear a good size spot in the garage and tear into it... If you get a book it explains how to do it pretty well. Your 68 stang is harder to work on than the trike,,,Trust Me

Al its not realy that hard of a project, just take your time and a shop book will help. I would suggest if your going to take it apart go ahead and replace the bearings when you have it tore down, usaly you can find the bearing kits on Ebay for a good price.
One tool I would suggest is a impact driver, the kind you hit with a hammer, it saved me when I did my bike. Also you have a 85sx, they had a problem with the boot the covers the shaft leaking, before you put the bike back together run a bead of RTV around where the boot sits and let it dyr forming a gasket so you get a good watertight seal when you re-assmble
