Default Tri Z problem ?

G'day all. First time in the forum, its great to read all of the threads, and if you haven't guessed I own a Tri Z 250 (1985) down under in Australia. Just wanted some feedback on the following. I was riding on the weekend on the beach, temp was 35 C - which is about 95 F - and after about an hour started to get a surging problem while in top gear going at a decent pace. I had to end up stopping for about 20 minutes and after that resumed and all was ok. Has anyone had this happen to them ? Would it be that the bike was too hot ? Although the temp light (which works) didn't come on. Thanks.

sometimes the fuel pump cant keep up at a fast pace they were noted for this..any problems since? could possibly need to clean the carb and jets.you can also check for a air intake leak by starting it letting it idel and spray some carb cleaner around the intake boot for a cracked boot.

Im not sure if u were going through any water, but i notice with my atc, when i gp through water and the engine gets wet, it seems to cut out on me, and i have to shut it off to let it dry a bit, then it works best kind.
