Default 83 200s clutch

the shifter has lots of play in it, and it seems not to have any clutch at all, just jam in gear and go still, but hard to up and down shift, kinda have to wait for the natural soft spot to get it to click into and out of gear, so my questions are , how hard is it to look at and adjust the clutch on this type of 3 wheeler ?, and can i adjust the amout of play there is in the shifter ??

Simple fix. Just locate the clutch adjuster screw on the right side lower portion of the engine.(Opposite the shifter side) Loosen the tension nut and back out (counter clockwise) the tensioner screw with a flat head screwdriver until the screw gives tension...(do not back out the screw until it is tight..) turn the screw in (clockwise) 1/4 turn, and tighten the tension nut. Test it. If still to tight loosen the tension nut and turn the screw in 1/8 of a turn clockwise. and retighten the tension nut. If this does not work you may need to check the clutch plates.
