If you want the best gear it's got to be Fox! I wear the 360 pants and a RS jersey. Those pants are lifesavers, they really keep your skin intact when your throttle sticks wide open in 5 gear going through the whoops and you decide to bail before the crash. I didn't even have a scratch when that happened to me. I use the Alpinestars Tech 8 boots. They are the absolute best things out there. Not only do almost all the pros use them, but they are really comfortable. They have specially boot inserts with gel packs and ankle discs that really help the boots form to your feet. They are also a lot more protective than the Tech 5's. I had some Thor boots, which were pretty nice, but these Tech 8's are so much better. As for he chest protector, I use the Fox Roost 2. I did cut the bicep guards off though, I hate those things. I think that they are pretty much useless. I am waiting to order my custom Shoei painted helmet, there is a 6 week wait unfortunately.

Fox!!!!!!!!! I bought a pair of used Fox forma boots about 2 years ago and I'm still wearing them. They probably have about 3 or 4 years on them and they probably still have about a year left in them. They've save my ankles so many times. If you can afford them you should get them. later

I have the thor flow gear. Pants, jersey, gloves, and kidney belt. I wear alpine star m3 boots and bell helmet. I have considered the no fear gear too. Its pretty sharp. I have heard the local shops talk guys out of tech 8 alpine star boots and into tech 6. Guess the only difference is an extra liner that comes with the tech 8's. Most pros take the inner liner out anyway, so why pay the extra for it? Just a thought.
