Hi everyone i am wondering if this would be a good drag race.. 300ft drag also just a top end race string it out and back off of it... a 1987 Lt250r LRD pipe with silencer, Port and polished head, big bore kit, Uni airfilter, 36mm mikuni D-slide carb, 11tooth front sprocket with a 40 tooth rear sprocket, i know it has a Hot rod in the Lt but im not sure abt the crank.. Im thinking its a stroker crank.., 20in dirt hooks, and thats abt it... Aginst a raptor 660 with a K&N airfilter and jet kit,, stock gearing and everything else... so would i smoke tha raptor or what? im racing him Next weekend and im wondering what to expect... Please tell me with or without the stroker crank b/c i dont know if it truely has one or not.. thanks for your time.

 

I think you'll beat him.
Remember though.Horsepower means nothing if you can't put it to the ground.
Tires and gearing plays a very big role in the 300 foot.

 

your gonna beat him.. hook up those tires tho

 

Its a good race more than likely u will win against the 660 raptor those bikes are not very fast

 

you will get the 660 in 300 feet but he would get yea on top speed easy.

Next week i have it set up.. just put my new bearings in the rear and am fine tuning it right now.. I just redone it from the frame up! LOL

 

11/40 seems weird. My 250R utilizes a 13/14 front and a 36-39 rear.

see thats what i told everyone.. so im gonna run that in the 300ft and then a 13 for topend racing... he also just got a yfz 04 says it pretty bad so im gonna race that also LOL should rae 2day or 2morrow

 

Ok got it done and smoked him no problem in 300ft and topend!! the yfz is next
