Number Help.. FAST!

Hey everyone, I ordered 4 number 7's from K&K. I ordered black, but they sent me 6" whites. If I put the white ones on, I couldn't see them. What should I do? I have to get them by Saturday. I was thinking I could put the plates on, then use black tape. Would that hurt my plates or backgrounds?? Thanks alot
