To those that don't know,Tom Prendergast is not our beloved referee no more! The ATVA has seen fit to remove Tom and let us go back to wondering which rules will be enforced at the races again.
Tom's job was a hard one and I think that he did a good job! I'm sure that I'm not the only one that will miss him.I welcomed consistantcy in the rules and I think most all will agree that consistancy will suffer.
Congratulations to the whiners! The ATVA seemes to grease the biggest squeak
I feel that Tom will not come back even if begged,,and I don't blame him.

what's up with that! he seemed fair and level headed to me. and most of all he seemed to actually care about the racers. will he not be at the Belwood mx, i was looking forward to meeting him there as it will be my first nat to race in.

I was suprised to find out he was not at Red Bud. I also thought it was funny how they decided to allow number plate slashes, and then started complaining how hard it was to score everybody in the mud. Hey, they make the rules then break the rules...I just basically was unimpressed with how things were run up there.

They actually allowed slashes? Man, that's a direct violation of the rules if I ever did see one.

I think it is to late in the year to find a person who will be able to ref at the remaining races. More than likely there will be a different one at each race. That will be a nightmare!!!! I could not believe it when they started pulling quads over after the finish to write down their numbers. From where I was standing on top of the grandstands I could read every back number plate. I thought we ran back numbers plates because the front get muddy. All the ladies had to do was come out from under their tent. My lady was wet and muddy all weekend and she wasn't even getting paid.

I was at Red Bud as well and also surprised to not see Tom there. I also agree with the slashed numbers theory. Why would they want to go backwards after making, what I think anyway, progress in the rules. I think a rule is a rule and they should stick to there guns. I know not everybody liked Tom, but I think he put it together this year and tried to make everyone happy.
