Default best all around quad, speed & durability
Tired of slow quads, only have 3k to spend , but want traction and durability of utilities.,

What about an older used Wolverine? Very durable and fun to ride. Save up some more cash and get the 424 after a while and it's pretty sporty then too.

Well, if you only want to spend about 3K, and if you want something durable,fast, adn cheap i dont think u can go wrong with a 400ex.
