Well put! As for the dealerships and driving before buying. Round here it depends on the dealer. Most will allow you to, however, there are those that don't also. We have a yamaha dealer, right beside the honda dealer here, I mean next door. Honda will let you drive, yamaha won't.

i would deffinately go with the vinny i have a lil suzuki and it has been a great machine and we used to own polaris's here and they have been high maintanance and you said you aren't mechanically inclined so that would be my winning vote right there. i know a guy from here that has a 2004 arctic cat 400 which has the suzuki motor and he turned over 24,000 miles before the motor went on it.

I would have to say i vote for the polaris 500 H.O. just because the great suspension and the HO has tons of power for a 500 machine. But it is a polaris. Have you considered the Rubicon. Great machine. And a honda. Or a AC their 500 isn't bad, lots of ground clearance and heavy racks. And plenty of grunt.

I have seen some really bulletproof sp 500's out there. My vote is for the polaris, hands down. I think it would be a better all around quad for you. And your back will thank you at the end of the day. The only suzukis that I have owned, have all been junk. But that's jus my opinion. Don't you just love this forum? It's so helpful. Welcome!
