.....and don't make the mistake of thinking you have to get an automatic. Last weekend, we took a bunch of non-riding friends camping with us, and I had a bunch of beginner kids from age 6 thru 13, and had them all shifting reasonably well within an hour or so.

when my brother was 11 and roughly about that size he was riding a polaris Trail boss 325, but dont let the cc's fool you, its a good bit slower than his current 250ex and was a pretty safe fourwheeler and auto, nice fourwheeler but not very sporty at all

i'd be getting something in the 200cc range...at 11 he's only going to be that size for another year tops then he will really start to grow, i have lil brother thats 13 and he can ride my z400 no problem (5ft120lb)...but hes got a lot of experience on quads so i'd go a bit smaller lol....250ex would be the best in my opinion
