BIG 14 year old looking for first quad

no offense but i would feel sorry for your suspension if you weight 240lbs (or was that the other guy) and hit 50 footers, you've got 80-90lbs on me and i just cant see a stock 400 absorbing that much force..... get a ds650 or renegade or kfx700 and aftermarket shocks, they are heavy tehmselves so they wont complain as much, and they will actually have enough B@lls to pull you around at a fair pace, kfx700 is a great trail quad, tons of torque, but its also pretty fun on the track (just a bit heavy so its harder to get unstuck)

on the track it is not so much the engine in the 400 lacking power for jumps but the suspestion for them is not going to be a good and will not do nearly as good as the 450s. BTW if you do not like to do maintenance i whould not get a 450 they need a lot of it, also the 450s are not going to like tight trail riding b/c there engine liked to be reved. but if you want one i whould get the honda 450r(probaly the best 450 for trail riding)

The 400s have a good amount of power. They're more for trail than tracks.
450s are at home on tracks. They are lower, wider, and a little bigger (may be good for you).</end quote></div>
the yfz feels smaller than the z400 though, the z400 is really tall 46" tall, 46" wide aproximately

While the KFX 450 is a nice quad, they seem to have a few problems that need to be worked out on the motors.
The DS 450 seems like an even better choice.
