You definately want to get reverse. My son has a E-ton Viper 70 and it doesn't have reverse. It gets real aggravating constantly getting off my bike, having him dismount, and turn his bike around. His E-Ton has been nothing but great and reliable. They make a Viper 90 with reverse. Check em out! They're affordable and built for children so they have a lot of safety features. My son's outgrown his 70 and we're probably gonna replace it with the Viper 90R cause reverse is a must. Good Luck!

I'd like reverse on all quads so i feel his pain. My grandparents have about 120 acres and some times there might be a tree down across the trail and everyone has to turn around. So I've had to get off lots also and its not much fun. Now that my son has a raptor 250, I'm sure its going to be even harder to turn it around for him. I'm just glad my ktm has reverse as its mighty handy. As far as getting a kids quad just for reverse would be an after thought, because priority would probably be stability over anything else.

We bought my boy an 05 honda trx90 and it doesnt have reverse or electric start.I wish it did but I got a good deal on it.I believe it will be reliable.Honda makes good atvs.I think the newer ones have electric start. If I were going to buy a new one,it would have reverse and electric start.

Voodoomagic that's my exact issue. Come across too many downed trees or deep mudhole my son needed to go around. Reconranger do you take your kids trail riding or just the backyard? In my backyard, no reverse is not needed. On the trail, picking up the a$$end and swinging it around gets old quick. After I get my boys 125 Grizz this week the back pain ends. : )
