Default Quad for my girlfriend

I'm starting to look for a quad for my girlfriend. She wants something smaller than my Eiger and an automatic transmission. I think she needs something in the 200-300cc range. Doesn't really matter if it's a sport or a utility. It absolutely has to be automatic and smaller than my Eiger. I've tried to find some machines that fit this criteria and it's tough. Something like an Ozark or Recon would be perfect but they're not automatic. There isn't much else out there. I'd also like to get something a little older so it could be had for under $2000. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'd appreciate it.

Can-Am DS 250 is a nice ATV. Sport style, and automatic.
Semi-Auto ATVs are better to learn on and after about a week, you can work them so well they feel like and automatic. So really, I say Ozark.

Try to convince here that an autoclutch won't be a big deal to learn to shift. I highly recommend the Honda 250EX or Recon.

I have tried to convince the wife to get a semi auto, but she just plain refuses. If you have the same problem, then get an auto and make her happy. I know if I forced the wife to get one, I wouldn't have 7 quads sitting in the back yard now.

Got her a Trail Blazer and she loves it. Had to get the top end rebuilt and bought her a DS250 to use in the meantime and she hates it. Too small, too narrow, underpowered and no after market parts that are any where near a reasonable price.

Take her to a few different dealers and just let her sit on a few and see which ones she finds most comfortable, then look for a used one.

Good luck.

Thanks guys. I'll look into the trailblazer and trailboss, as well as the DS250. I looked at the phoenix, but after reading several dozen reviews that stated it was junk and all listed the same problems (and there were many), it has been ruled out. As far as the shifting, she knows how, she just doesn't like to. It sucks that the Ozark or Recon aren't available as CVT's. I'm really weary about Polaris, but I guess my options are pretty limited. Thanks again.

AC has an IRS 250 - same base ATV as the DS250 (Kymco made). But it's automatic and with that IRS makes for a good wife bike. It's the same size as the Ozark or Recon (about 7/8ths full size). A slightly larger option with 4wd would be the AC 366.
