Considering their transmissions are so similar I cant see what leads you to believe that the 686cc 700 Grizzly is gonna pull better than the 722cc 750 King Quad will?

What's it rated to tow? I still can't find it listed anywhere.

I think I heard it was like a 1,000 pounds but those are like everyone elses, imaginary numbers. If you really want to pull heavy loads common sense would tell me that you would want one of the heavier ATV's like the Polaris's in a big bore. The Grizzly is even lighter than my KQ (by a few pounds) so I have a hard time believing that side by side with loads its gonna out pull the KQ. I drove both and the Griz was a step down (by just a tiny bit) in the power department from the KQ or at least throttle response wise to me. Just my $.02, I have towed some very heavy loads (a whole butchered moose + gear) in lesser machines so I dont really buy the whole tow rating thing, and those 1,000 + loads were in very rough terrain not on a flat land farm.If were you I would look at a big bore Polaris or Arctic Cat if I was looking to haul heavy loads. They are bigger machines and weigh more.

I think you made a good choice. I like the KQ although if I were buying a quad today, it would be the Grizzly for me.

I think people make too big of a deal about tow ratings on quads when they don't mean much. The Polaris Sportsman 500, 700, and 800 all have the same tow rating. Go figure.

Actually they don't. The 500 is only 1,225 pounds and the others are 1,500.

Ok, got me there but still not too much difference. However, do you think that the Polaris 500 could NOT tow 1500 pounds?

Listed tow-ratings are to keep the lawyers happy. That's it. For example; a 2006 Jeep wrangler has a tow-rating of 2000lbs., while a 2006 Jeep wrangler unlimited(which has about a foot more wheel-base) has a tow-rating of 3500lbs. The rating almost doubles because the vehicle is slightly longer making it a more stable tow-rig. Both vehicles are identical except for the added length of the unlimited, and both will tow FAR more than 3500lbs.

It'll tow that and even tow a pickup truck but it won't stop on a dime. I think the tow ratings are what's safe to tow, not what you can tow.
