Polaris Sportsman 500 HO 2x
#1
while looking for a fourwheeler four my sister, my friend called us about a
2010 polaris sportsman 500 ho 2x that has 120 hours and is in great condition..the guy wants $3500 for it and to me, that seems like an amazing deal! the only problem is that the key starter had a key jammed in it and when he tried to fix it, the whole piece came out? the part he is getting for it is $80, should we be concerned about lasting effects or will this piece really fix it up?

Sure its a 2010,according to this site, 2009 was the last year for the 500X2. Maybe its a 500 Touring? 2009 Polaris Sportsman® 500 EFI X2 ATVs They look alot alike.
Wow you when from looking for a light easy steering ATV for her, to the largest, longest and heaviest ATV ever made.
The key jammed would not bother me I never pull the key out anyways, I lost a few keys playing that game but I guess its dependents on the neighborhood you park it in.

Just be careful that he legitimately owns the quad. Some people have bought quads with popped ignitions that turned out to be stolen. Just something to be careful of. As, TLC said, it's the biggest, heaviest quad out there. It is not an easy steering quad. I got some improvement in the steering when I put the heavy duty springs on it. I had a 2006. Was a great quad until I really smacked it down hard on a rock right under my transmission and knocked something loose other than my teeth.
