If you click on the Yamaha Section and view the thread called Canadian Prices you will gain lots o info.
Breifly, the prices are ALOT better. Example. I'm going to Ontario in two weeks to pick up my raptor. Price here $6500.00 Price I'm buying it for in Canada $5112.00 american. I'll pay 7% sales tax but that gets reimbursed once I export the wheeler. I pay duty of 2.7% ($138.00)at the border to enter US. That's it. Easy as apple pie. (when the wife makes it)

The final price all set up and ready to go is $5112.00 american. The only thing I must pay is the 7% sales tax(GST). The tax you can get reimbursed to you and it takes about 6 weeks.
You only need your sales receipt to exit Canada with the wheeler. You pay 2.7% duty right there.
That's it.
Good Luck.

Polaris has banned the Canadian dealers from selling "NEW" wheelers to us Americans because the US dealers any where near the border were having a tough time competing. So instead of dropping prices they put a ban on US sales. A dealer in New Brunswick got around this by transfering title to a holding company, who then resistered them, so the dealer could sell them as "USED" even though they were still in the crate. Hope this helps.
