Removing stock decals !!
#1
I found the best way to remove your stock decals is to take a hair dryer and heat the BACK SIDE!! of the area where the decal is located. DO NOT!! apply heat directly to the decal because it will make it tear. Use a little gas to remove the sticky stuff.

I have always done it directly to the sticker and never had any problems although the two bikes bikes I did it to were brand spankin' new so they came right off. Maybe an age thing with the tearing?

There are also fluids you can use to remove stickers. Basically the same stuff you use to put them on (it comes with decal kits) will take them off as well. I found some sticker remover at Wal-Mart and it was like $5 or so. It works OK (not great) but is another alternative or could easily be used in combination with heat to get the best end result.

Heat gun used to slightly warm the sticker, then peel it back gently " DO NOT OVER HEAT IT ...... u are simply trying to melt the glue not the sticker ...... also use paint thinners or petrol to remove the excess glue ..no damage will be done to the plastic ..however i did polish /buff mine witha silicon vinal/plastic revival product makes it look like new ...
